RMAN CATALOG CREATION IN TARGET DATABASE.
1) Configure LISTENER & TNSNAME
2) Create Tablespace and RMAN user
SQL> create tablespace rmantbs datafile '/u01/PRD/datafiles/PRD/rmantbs.dbf' size 100m autoextend on;
Tablespace created.
SQL> create user rmanusr identified by rmanusr default tablespace rmantbs temporary tablespace temp quota unlimited on rmantbs;
User created.
SQL> select distinct username, default_tablespace from dba_users;
USERNAME DEFAULT_TABLESPACE
------------------------------ ------------------------------
RMANUSR RMANTBS
3) Grant priveleges to RMAN user
SQL> grant connect, resource to rmanusr;
SQL> grant create session to rmanusr;
SQL> grant recovery_catalog_owner to rmanusr;
4) connect to catalog through OS
$ rman target PRD catalog rmanusr/rmanusr@PRD

5) Create catalog database.

6) Register target database

7) Enable block changing tracker

SQL> COL FILENAME FORMAT A60
SQL>
SQL> SELECT STATUS, FILENAME FROM V$BLOCK_CHANGE_TRACKING;

DISABLED

SQL> ALTER DATABASE ENABLE BLOCK CHANGE TRACKING USING FILE '/u01/PRD/datafiles/PRD/BCT.log';
